Edward d’Eath (oui, le nom est drôle), appartenant à une famille autrefois noble, se met en tête de rétablir la monarchie à Ankh-Morpok pour résoudre les problèmes sociaux de la ville, et conclut que Carrot Ironfoundersson, membre de la Garde de Nuit, est l’héritier légitime du trône.

J’aime beaucoup l’arc du guet/de la garde, et il ne manque jamais de me faire rire, véritablement pouffer. Rien à ajouter, la chanson est toujours la même avec Pratchett !

That had a lot more social commentary than I’m used to, which worked really well with these characters. A new and kind terrifying insight into guns and just weapons in general. And the power that leaders should and shouldn’t have - whether or not they are good people or not.

I’m not going to pretend to guess what he wanted to say, but there seemed to be a parallel at the end between the gonne and having a king- that anything that gives someone easy, accessible power over others leads to “bad stuff”.

Oh, and Carrot got a girlfriend! 😜
