A story of what happens when you try to take the cop out of Vimes, and when the city finds it rightful King. Not that the King wants the job.

Oh, and a gunne.

And I think, the introduction of the Leonard of Quirm. And possibly one of the best introductions to the Guilds in the entire Discworld series.

I have noticed a trend where each book in a series has gotten slightly darker and more intense, and what started as a fun, light series to begin with has gradually advanced to gripping. The books are getting harder to put down and I can only hope the rest of the books would continue to build on this.

I love Vimes.
