Wow... I guess you don't cross Richard at all. I love these extras that give us glimpses about the other characters... I feel like I'm getting to know them all over again.

Its a great book that gives us some insight into the Morrells instead of the main characters of the Morganville series. It also gave us more insight into Morganville and how stuff gets hidden. Do not think I will read this book again though. x

Love the short story! Getting every few into Richard Morrell’s head Was great. I was always curious about his character in this early enough to fill in some gaps.

Loved this story, getting Richard's perspective, because boy does he have an interesting place, given who his family are!

This is so completely different from any of the other novellas, we get completely away from our main four and it’s like this story has a completely different vibe than the rest. Interesting, but it wasn’t that enjoyable to read.

This one is completely different to all the other short stories surrounding the series. Due to that I loved it.

Instead of following the events of one of the main four we’re inside of the police department as Richard deals with an out-of-towner who has stepped out of line only to face the dire consequences. It’s a great insight into the world beyond the mania that surrounds the main events of the series.

Without a doubt an interesting read for anyone who wants something outside of the norm.

Actually read in 2012, but I don't want it to count towards my Goodreads Reading Challenge.

This is a good little novella to read if you are a Richard Morrell fan. It gives a little glimpse into how protective he is of his family and how difficult it must be to be a cop in a city full of Vampires.
