This one really surprised me. I’m not a huge fan of mafia romance - I feel like it’s overdone and an easy out for a forbidden romance but this one? Had me page turning like CRAZY. 

It was a Disney retelling, kinda, had allusions to the Little Mermaid, meets smutty mafia romance, meets Butcher and Blackbird vibes. The yearning, the “touch her and you die” trope.. it made for a really good read!
