I don’t really know how to rate Gmorning, Gnight!—it’s not that kind of book. Some of these little pep talks meant absolutely nothing to me (truly, less than nothing). But others? Landed in exactly the right way, exactly when I needed them.

I love Lin. That heart of his shows up on every page. And Jonny Sun’s illustrations give it this cozy, gentle vibe that makes it feel like a friend checking in.

It’s not a book I’d sit down and read cover to cover, but I keep it nearby to flip open when I need a little moment. Sometimes it hits. Sometimes it doesn’t. And that’s totally fine.
