This collection of poetry was wonderful and gave me happiness in a time of darkness.

Really nice and uplifting

This was utterly beautiful. I legitimately had a huge smile on my face the whole time I read this. In this world, at this time, I feel like nobody tries to be positive or uplifting. It's so much easier to be toxic and draining. I for one treasure people like Lin Manuel Miranda who can find something bright to say even when faced with darkness.

I love these as encouraging tweets and I love them as words within a book. This is something I can see myself reading to my future kids one day. These little pep talks work

I liked it more or less, but it was a little weird to read them straight through. I can definitely see the appeal of reading one of these in the morning and one at night. I think there were only two or three that really struck me, but I think if you followed Lin-Manuel Miranda on Twitter and read them as he wrote them each day it would be much more compelling, and in the Twitter format, if you can really reach out and touch one person a day that would already be amazing. But as one person reading a whole book of these in a handful of sittings it was a little dry.

But that's just my reading style as well, I think. I've never really liked books that were a collection of aspirations/inspirations/quotations because I'm not good at using books that way, where you read just one page a day or flip to a random page per day or whatever. *shrug*

Jonny Sun's illustrations reminded me a little of [a:Shel Silverstein|435477|Shel Silverstein|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1201029128p2/435477.jpg]. :o
