I’m just not really sure how I feel about it. As a novel it was alright, relatively entertaining and interesting but knowing it was written as a reportage on these real life women just felt kind of weird. It felt a bit uncomfortable and in my view the writing felt a bit indulgent at times as if the purpose was to get people off or be entertaining. I didn’t get the information that I felt like I wanted to on these women in the same way that you would if they were being interviewed or telling their story first hand. I don’t know, I’m not really sure how to articulate it. As a novel it was fine but it’s not a novel so I don’t know, it’s just a strange way of presenting their stories.

I found Lina and Maggie's stories compelling but there wasn't enough time for Sloane's story. Her story felt the weakest and the least fleshed out. There was also a twist that has to do with the relationship between her and her brother but it was completely sudden. There was no foreshadowing or leading to that particular conclusion. Lina didn't really get a proper ending compared to the other two stories, but the book was so easy to get into.
