Wow. That was good. Highly depressing, but good. Yellowfang's entire past is bursting to the seams with secrets!
((Spoilers!!!!!!))
I forgot that there was any backstory to Yellowfang, but I picked this up thinking it would be good. Belive me, it was! It was incredibly sad and there is so much pain for Yellowfang... As a stand alone, it would be too depressing, with her banished and all at the end of the book, but luckily you could go pick up "Into the Wild" (the first book in the original Warrior cat arc) and pick up where Yellowfang's Secret left off.

A really interesting insight into Yellowfang's backstory. It's understandable why she ended up becoming so crotchety yet held onto a slither of hope in her main series appearances after reading what she went through.
This book felt far longer that it was, and not in a bad way. It felt extremely in depth for a Super Edition, with every character in her life having personality. I also liked the fact the pacing increased as the book went on- I don't know if it was intentional, but it felt like she was losing control.
Overall, a great insight to a fan favourite character of the series which doesn't blaspheme her character.
