Feeling kinda dumb because I started to read this mixing it up with another book. I was a little confused and while sifting through my TBR for my book challenges, I realized that I hadn't read the first book. With that being said, you don't really NEED the 1st book to understand the 2nd book. It made me enjoy this book even more than I already was. I think without that little bit this book would have been a 4 star read instead of a 5 star read.

This book was fantastic!! I absolutely loved it! Unlike the first book, I actually figured out who did it (for the most part), so I’m pretty proud of myself for that. Still, it didn’t take away from my enjoyment. Even after it’s revealed who’s behind the game, there’s a whole other twist in the final 3 pages that really pushes this book over the edge. It honestly blew me away. McManus is definitely one of my favorite authors, this book confirms it. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

I didn't think I would love this book this much. In fact I didn't even think I would like it but here we are...
The plot twists, the betrayals, the shock as the story unfolds, the romance, this book was so much better and stronger than the first.

Let's analyse this shall we?(just read the bottom line if you don't want to read all this:)

THE CHARACTERS:
In general: Karen did an awesome job at making us love nearly every character even "Jared", not Brandon though I just hate him.

In depth:

Knox:
I felt so bad for Knox after Maeve's secret got out he didn't deserve this but I was happy when things between him and Maeve got better because they needed each other as best friends and if they hadn't got along near the end, everything would have gone . Knox was such a hard-working brave guy throughout the whole book. I am just so happy he got what he wanted at the end(if yk yk)

Maeve:
I have mixed feelings about her but I still love her.
I wanted Maeve's character to develop in the first book so bad and I got what I wanted. We had to know more about her illness and how it affected her . She was also so brave at the end I didn't expect this. And again Maeve's hacking skills save the day (as always)

Pheobe:
I can't forgive myself for not trusting her.
I felt really bad for her father's death.
She didn't deserve any of this, from Derek to her sister to the $lutty gossip all around the school to what actually happened to her father.
And yet she was so strong... I just love her.

Emma:
WTH I didn't expect that...
I won't speak another word

Luis:
He is just perfect, although he needed to be more involved, Kris was more involved in the first book than Luis in this one.

Bronwyn & Nate:
One of the reasons I gave this book more stars than I intended to was because of them. I loved them so much in the first book that I wanted them to have their own book,So seeing them and them being actually involved was everything for me.

THE ACTUAL PLOT:
When you read this book you will drown in a sea of plot twists. You will keep saying nothing except..

"What the heck just happened??"
Every chapter if not every 2 pages.
And the cliffhanger at the end?
I didn't see it coming at all if Simon's suicide was a cliffhanger then this one just throws you off the cliff... I have nothing more to say about the ending without spoiling it.

THE WRITING:
As always beautiful, the balance between the different POVS is impeccable. The emotions, the plot twists, everything was so beautifully written that I nearly cried several times (rare)

BOTTOM LINE:
I love every inch of this, EVERYTHING, I recommend it to everyone, Thanks to Karen M.McManus for creating this beautifully written masterpiece.
She surely knows how to plot a mystery that keeps its readers hooked until the last page and wanting for more
