Did not expect to get this invested. Also never expected to ship Benvolio and Mercutio but that happened too. The vibes are weird after playing Romeo and Juliet though.

I had this downloaded on my kindle for travelling and was not expecting to enjoy this book so much!! The main two characters were great but the dynamics between the more minor characters were what stood out to me because I was pretty much invested in everyone. Also loved the historical setting with the sprinkle of fantasy too. I’ve definitely given better books lower ratings but this was just very enjoyable to me :)

this book was lovely. the writing style was enjoyable and i thought the characters were really badass and i always enjoy morally-grey characters. im only rating this a 3 because i found that i couldnt find the urge to keep reading once i put the book down and it honestly felt like a chore at times. i couldnt tell you why i think that is but yeah thats just my thoughts. i will hopefully read the sequel but lets wait and see

So slow… I needed a bit more action. Which I got in the last 100 pages or so. But she also do like to repeat words a lot… ”guns upon guns upon guns”, ”loud, loud”, ”mobs upon mobs”, ”think, think, think”. So a little disappionted in the writing. But the story is there! Just a little slow for my taste…
