oh my fucking god. oh my Fucking God.
this books was Amazing. as a queer autistic person, this is The representation i needed. oh my god.
the trans autistic experience is so well written, so accurate, so complex and true, yet simple.
i personally can’t say i was, well, horrified by the horror and gore but it might just be me. i know most people would definitely be queasy at the very least, so that’s something to keep in mind.
overall, andrew joseph white did a spectacular job with this book! i’ve already ordered his other book, hell follows with us, and i can’t wait for his future releases!! 100% instabuy every book he releases

easiest 5☆ of my life

This book is a devastating, heart wrenching, wonderous thing. I am adding it to my list of absolute favorite books of all time. I love it.

The spirit bares it’s teeth is a book I found on a whim when I was at the bookstore. I went into the book not knowing what to expect at each turn and falling in love with the diverse characters who fought to survive in a world that was against them. The spirit bares it’s teeth is deeply grotesque, haunting and a realistic reflection on medical history towards  those who were considered different due to their gender identity and sexual orientation  as well as ableism. The book is laced with fighting darkness when there is no hope, and left me a different person than I was when I started it.

omg this book was amazing, andrew joseph white is def my auto buy author. the way he writes is so intriguing. his depictions of being queer and transgender are  phenomenal. although it may not have been the greatest idea to read this book while sick at home, the descriptions of gore and emotional horror are sickening, in the best way possible.
