Well, that was surreal. And fun. But not quite my speed.

My DC comics knowledge is very sparse so I think I need to read more of the older Doom Patrol to really enjoy Gerard Way's run. Otherwise, I do enjoy the quirkiness of the characters.

*rating may change with further Doom Patrol reading

fucking LOVED this. Gerard Way took an already stellar crew and added his own lyrical(mychem lol), flavour. A rollicking run with killer character development, it had me goofin the whole read through. His writing always destroys me :))

I received this from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a trip of a book, and I think it will work more for people who are familiar with Morrison's Doom Patrol. I haven't read any Doom Patrol before, so I was a bit lost at times, and a lot of references were lost on me. It was really bizarre and sometimes confusing. I enjoyed the artwork. If you're a fan of Doom Patrol, you will probably enjoy this more than newcomers.
