For… Naruto… you… saved me from the darkness!
A volume almost solely focus on Neji? Love that for me.
Now, while I'm not entirely sure whether to give this one a 3.5 or a 4 stars rating yet, I do know that I love how well planned and thought this entire series is. Like, we constantly have flashbacks to scenes that are really pertinent to that specific moment or draw parallels, or we have one scene that seems random but 20 chapters later is addressed and really everything is just chef's kiss.
Also, let’s just take a moment to acknowledge that a. Kidōmaru was stronger than Jirōbō, as was said by both the other members from the 4 of the Sound and by Akamaru and Kiba, and that b. Neji didn’t need to take any supplements to defeat him. He’s just that good. An icon.

Tres estrellas porque de nuevo las peleas me aburren pero en esta peleó Neji y Neji me encanta
This had a better battle scene than the last book.
Choji has defeated Jirobo but at what cost. The rest of the squad still chase after Sasuke but when they eventually catch up to the rest of the Sound Ninja Four their plan goes sideways. Neji realizes only he can take on Kidomaru because of his Gentle Fist technique. As Naruto, Shikamaru, and Kiba continue the pursuit, Neji and Kidomaru fight in an intense battle of smarts and wits with Neji just inching out the victory.

Obviously the bad guys underestimated our heroes, Neji shows off his tensai, suspense builds in the background, and Orochimaru and Kabuto are for real for real the real creeps...on to the next match up!
Okay, I would rate this volume higher if it weren't for how long it took for me to get through it. Don't get me wrong, it isn't bad, I just think that this arc has me a little disinterested. The bad guys are interesting enough and I like the characters on the mission, but the mission itself and the fight scenes aren't as good as the ones I have read in other volumes. I just think this arc is a little more difficult to get through than others, unfortunately. Of course, I'm stubborn and I like everything else so far in the series so consider me in for the long haul, I'm not done yet.
