Pretty good.

The story has great world building,
but honestly I just don’t seem to care that much what happens to the characters.

I have received this ARC from NetGally in exchange for an honest review.

Savage Bounty is the second installment within the Savage Rebellion series. Just like the previous book, I really enjoyed jumping back into this world. We are still following multiple point of views as well. It was definitely interesting to see where everyone was at and what they had to face throughout their journey. Whether it was fighting enemies or being a prisoner, I was completely hooked and couldn't wait for all the action coming my way.

Unfortunately, it did take me a while to get invested. Mostly because we don't really get anything new from this one. It also took me a while to figure out which point of view I was reading from. I was also a little shocked with how things ended too. Definitely didn't see the cliffhangers coming and I'm just in shock that we will get another book. A good kind of shock though.

In the end, I definitely liked the sequel and can't wait for the next book to be revealed. I'm hoping we get a bit more in the next one - whether it's character development, action, or anything else.

Read Savage Rebellion in two mammoth reading binges, and now eagerly awaiting the third book. Gorgeous writing, great characters. I loved Savage Legion for the battles, but this second novel seemed to be more of a "quest" type story. It's laying more solid foundations regarding the complex political and historical conflicts and that made a lot of sense. It's a long, deep breath before the screaming starts, and I'm hanging off that cliff of an ending.
