an enjoyable 3.5 rounded down with a likable main couple, however i probably would've liked it more if i hadn't already read so much coldbreath lol. this is very middle-ground amalgamation of everything she's ever written, and unfortunately when you've read a lot of her you start realizing a lot of her books feel like the same characters with different names. i do think these two were more endearing than a lot of the previous protagonists in this universe, but right now i do think the karadok world suffers from everybody being too alike. the prizefighter series at least benefits from being a change of pace while sticking to tropes she obviously loves.

i will still read her though! because what can i say, even her weakest book is still enjoyable for me even if it's formulaic. also i hear the next one is a bit of a departure from her usual dynamic :)

My favourite from the series so far. I found it started a little slow, but I grew invested in these two. Armand was perfect for helping Una tear down her walls, and I love how gone he was for her. Their bedroom role playing was both hilarious and top-notch. I loved all the side characters in this one as well. My only other gripe was I didn't like how overbearing Armand was after the incident.

Big TW for
MMC being so drunk during consummation that he can't remember it, though he chose to be drunk knowing that they'd need to consummate.

Alright I don’t think these books are for me. I absolutely loved the first 80%. They were cute, they got along, they were honest with each other. The conflict at the end was stupid and genuinely made me hate Armand.
