Although this book can be read as a stand-alone I highly recommend reading Peace, Love and Resistance before this one to get a better understanding of Tristan Swan and Tobias.

Atlantis Karr has just been released from prison and the half-way house where she has been for the past year. Yet when she was finally free, her husband Daniel was too busy to get her and she ends up at the local bus station where she meets a girl who will change her whole world.

Determined to try and make it on her own and find herself Atlantis takes Tristan's advice to California and then to North Carolina where the past comes back and sets her on a road to the future. Yet it is a road she could never have imagined herself on.

I absolutely loved Peace, Love and Resistance and this follow up is just as amazing. This book makes you think at a deeper level and really makes you question your own life and how you determine your own destiny.

This book introduces us to Atlantis who has just spent a year incarcerated for a crime that has destroyed her. Yet society wants her to pay and she does on so many levels. Yet when she gets out of prison she seems to be more of an inconvenience to her husband, Daniel, who doesn't want to disrupt his daughters lives for Atlantis.

When Atlantis meets Tristan she questions everything that Tristan believes in. Yet gradually she begins to understand the basics of what Tristan is trying to say to her and the simplicity of Tristan's life begins appeal to Atlantis. I could completely understand this and through reading I must say that I started off more like Atlantis but so much of what Tristan said made so much sense that it really began to set in.

But when Atlantis is at a low point dealing with her pain and loss, in walks an angel who changes everything Atlantis thought possible and through her losses she gains two people who will change everything. This part really made me think about what is possible in my own life and how I really do determine the good and the bad through my own thoughts and attitude.

This book just really makes me think about so much and how I want to live my own life. As I was reading I even put the book Tristan recommended Atlantis reading on hold at my local library right away. I am seriously loving this series and I can't wait for the next book!
