My favorite of the Lady Sherlock series so far! This one was so good. Sherringford is an excellent addition and helps prevent some of the pacing issues of the previous books. Treadles was both so insufferable and so cute at the same time. I actually figured out the Who (slightly) before the reveal! (Not through any Sherlockian deduction, just a hunch, though, and the details that were later revealed were *chef's kiss*.) And just the right amount of romance. Nothing wrong with romance, but I don't like it to be the main plot of non-romance books, and it works really well here.

Plus the audiobook narrator is so good!

I’m completely hooked on this series! There is so much that happened in this book that advanced so many storylines. I like how Inspector Treadles inner battle with investigating his friend Lord Ingram with Charolette in disguise (amazing) also affected his personal life.I also enjoyed that Charolette’s sisters were more involved as well as Ash’s brothers. There is too much to say, incredible mystery that I was never close to solving and additional twists right to the end. I am going right into the next book. I love all these characters and can’t wait to see whats next and spend more time with the amazing Charlotte Holmes and friends.

3.5 stars. My least favorite so far. Did not like Charlotte impersonating a man throughout most of the book. Good ending.
