Themes or characters that resonated with me: The character of Mr. Darcy, to me was the most relatable. Misunderstood because he does not conform to society's expectations of pleasantry. Cares about and is generous with the people he is close with. I liked Elizabeth, as an independent thinker, also rational. Willing to admit when she has been wrong. I liked that the book sort of pokes fun at the obsession with wealth and situation.
Emotions, thoughts, or memories it brought up in me: I was satisfied with the happy ending. I don't get why Mr. Bennet liked Wickham of all the husbands.
Opinion about the author or writing style: I think the author did a good job distinguishing the important characters, despite there being an abundance to keep track of. I enjoyed when things got rolling when Lydia disappears. The novel really starts to move forward at that point. I only wish that when Elizabeth finally told Darcy she loved him that she would have used his same words. Maybe that would have been too cheesy. Some parts get very fancy with the language. I think my favorite part about this is how silly it makes Mr. Collins seem to be. I loved picturing Jesse Plemons as Collins and Adam Driver as Darcy.
Favorite Passage: Even though I expected it, and it was even on the back of the book I was still astonished when Darcy proclaims "You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you."

Enough going on that there are still things to discover or remember on a reread! If you have seen one of the adaptations, it can be very fun to compare it with the original text - and the writing holds up well enough that Jane Austen is still readable today, if you know a bit of what's going on.
A good start to reading classic literature, in my opinion and I am only 80% biased.
