I don’t always read the novellas for this series but this one is almost a must read. So much happened and so many revelations happened. I loved it all, plus I love Qhuinn and Blay. I can’t wait to read some more of this series.

I had mixed feelings about this book. After the initial excitement of revisiting Qhuinn and Blay wore off, I was left feeling disinterested halfway through the book. Qhuinn is an asshole. He never deserved Blay which made their story so interesting but when he keeps reverting back to shutting his mate out, it leaves the reader with little desire to finish their story. I pushed through and the end was definitely worth it and Ward reminded me why I keep reading her work. She has an amazing way of weaving a story through many ups and downs that pull you in. I will always keep reading books in the BDB world, even when some books shine more than others.

Any time I can visit with BDB I am there. Bitty has become one of my favorite characters. She has such and influence on the members and their families. Her antics put a smile on my face and they will make you smile too.

A Warm Heart in Winter highlights Quinn and Blay's relationship. Bitty gets them both thinking about their mating and how they never made it "official". Along the way I get to visit with all the wonderful characters that I have come to adore.

2/16/2021 just listened to the audiobook. It warmed my heart on a cold winter day. Can't wait to listen to it again next year during my BDB binge listen.

This was all Quinn and Blay romance, and emotional turmoil around their lives, and Z's. It was a slower pace than the normal books, but I enjoyed it.

my boys are back!

while I have drifted from the bdb series in recent years (still have to read the last 2), I was excited for this one, and not disappointed

the continuation of their romance feels very natural, the ease with which they interact, the small touches, it flowed really well and made them feel like a real couple who's grown closer now that they've been together a while. they are definitely one of the better written continuations of existing couples that ward has done, and much more interesting than some of the recent new additions.

of course, it's not all just happy, there's plenty of action and heartbreak before that I won't spoil.

I'd definitely recommend for any fan, also those whose like me whose interest strayed a bit, ward is back to her good form in this.
