I like each vingette generally, but the randomness didn't connect for me, and I felt like I was missing the full arc for some of the memories (which is perhaps realistic but didn't keep me wanting to read more). Lots of emotions in this one, and some real poignancy. Interested to read the first one now. (Also may have been discouraged by how physically impossible this book was to hold/read... I don't recommend the hardcover!)

This was exactly the kind of easy-to-read, lighthearted book I needed to read to remind me why I like reading while trying to tackle a much more intricate, dense text.

Honestly I expected this book to just be a cute, funny memoir about things that have happened in Allie’s life, and it was to an extent. However there were definitely some deeper meanings concerning aging and dealing with grief and existential crises. Multiple times this book made me laugh out loud but also almost shed tears. I highly enjoyed the journey this book took me on.

This is a book about immense tragedy,  and it's hilarious. It made me really uncomfortable while being an absolute vacation.  No idea how Allie does it, and she does it well.
