Nesta is such a complicated character and getting to hear her story has got to be my favourite part of the series. Her character development through grief and fest and hardship is divine, and the way her story is written is so realistic, despite it being completely fantastical as a whole. I love all of the main characters in this series so very much.

It may have taken me forever to actually finish this book because I kept putting it down after being pissed at
the poor choices Nesta was making for the first half of the book. Once she starts training the book turns around.
I loved the character development of Nesta and the various good relationships she finally has
(e.g Cassian, her friends, her sisters, etc). It was nice to learn the justification for the way she has been and how she changes. I think I might actually like Nesta/Cassian more than the other couples in this whole series!

The Court of Silver Flames
By Sarah J Maas

Just like her other books in this series, Maas captivates by pulling you in to an amazing world with strong characters.

This book is Nesta’s story… when I began it I wasn’t sure how I’d feel with the focus being on Nesta instead of Feyre. I was surprised that Feyre’s presence wasn’t really needed all of the time to stick with the overall storyline. She was present enough that I didn’t miss her. I think it felt like I was “growing” and “healing”  right along side of Nesta… I love how the characters are so well written that they grow in your heart just like real people do.

I honestly would forget that I was reading when I was reading this book, the entire series really. I cannot wait for the next book… I wanna keep experiencing their world and their stories!

I really enjoyed this one! It was odd at first to be in Nesta’s perspective (I hadn’t read the back of the book beforehand, so I wasn’t expecting it) and it felt like I was spying on my sister. Plentiful smut aside ;) this book delves into Nesta’s relatable struggles of drowning her sorrows and hating herself. I really loved the story arch through her personal development. I can only complain that a few things in the end felt just a bit too easy, but maybe I’m just used to tragedies?

A disappointing continuation of a good series. While this book contains significantly more smut than the previous installations, it is severely lacking in story. As usual, Maas does an excellent job at examining trauma and how differently it can affect people. However, by choosing to isolate Nesta, we loose a significant portion of what made me love this series.
