I loved watching Nesta go from insufferable to a great friend and sister. I also love her relationship with the house. I did find myself not caring about the conflict outside of the night court though.

I loved this book, because Nesta’s character development was so real. I didn’t want it to end (even after 751 pages). My only qualm is the Rite at the end seemed rushed and wasn’t quite detailed, compared to the pace of the rest of the book. But I was obsessed with the female empowerment thread, of females taking their power back. May we all be Valkyries.

I want to start this out with a formal apology of ever doubting Nesta. 🥺
Through this whole series until now I found Nesta unbearable and the one character I wouldn't mind just going away. Until I read her story and I saw that Nesta was not unbearable she was broken. Out of every character Nesta has the most trauma and the most growth out of all them and if it took 80 chapters to see her whole growth then it was well worth it!
This book was beautifully written and I didn't realize how motivational it was until the end when I was left in literal tears.

I loved description of trauma, depression and friendship. Loved dynamic between Nesta and Cassian. Also the spiciness was very high but good. The book made me dislike Feyre and Rhysand a bit though.
I wish the major events at the end had been more fleshed out. They felt rushed.
I hope we get Elain or Mor book next.

This book hit so many high notes. It was tense, romantic, sad, hopefully, depressing. I felt a lot of emotions reading this book. Has Nesta been an insufferable (insert b word) in all the books thus far? Yes… yes she has. Is she a complex being with traumatic history and developed an icy mask to help her survive said trauma? Yes. Is Cassian the one to help her learn how to walk through the fire and take responsibility for her healing? Maybe or maybe not. And I will also say this. If you have ever been through any kind of trauma that has made you feel lesser and powerless… maybe you’ll enjoy certain parts of this book. I know I did.

Last in the series. I’ve enjoyed the series but this one was over the top with the sex scenes. WAY too much and WAY too detailed. The other books have love scenes but this one was absolutely littered with them. Didn’t add a thing to the storyline. Go figure.
