There is a lot about Nesta's journey that I loved - The found family and her ultimate triumph over her past trauma was a great read. Everything else, especially concerning Feyre and Rhys' stuff going on, hurt a lot of the pacing and character building that was done over the past few books.

Maas seems to have re-written some of her core characters' personalities so that she could have a self-insert moment. It could be forgiven if the rest of the book wasn't such a slow slog to trudge through.

One of the biggest gripes that my wife and I had was (I'll try to say this as non-spoilery as possible) it depicts pregnant women as being helpless maiden-in-distress, basically, even though much of the rest of the series does so well with empowering women. It's a glaring misstep in what should have been a solid feminist literature piece.
