Firstly, hays off to the author writing Is not easy.
It took a while to get into it but don't try to get into the book deeply just read it(if this makes any sense). I hated Emma but I had to realise sure she is selfish but she is just a teenager. Sophie is so broody and it is understandable why she was against love I think they really weren't her friends for real because it is literally a result of the divorce she resented love which further buttresses my point that Emma is a self absorbed person.

I don’t even know how to describe this book but honestly it just feels like a high schooler wrote it, there are a lot of weird and confusing parts but if you let yourself not get caught up in those overall the book is cute and FUNNY like absolutely hilarious.

this book was so,,, predictable? but at the same time none of it made any sense?
i truly don’t mind when romance books are predictable. i don’t necessarily read them for their riveting plot lines, but with this book i absolutely hated it’s lack of interesting plot because it had absolutely nothing else going for it. the characters were so unlikable and one-dimensional that it physically hurt me to read. everything about them was so explicitly stated, too. i didn’t have to imply a single thing from this book, i was told point blank on every page exactly what each character was thinking and feeling. it was honestly insufferable.
i’m usually pleased by just about any book, and i cant remember the last time i’ve rated a book lower than 4 stars, but i genuinely had a bad time reading this one.
