We first meet Roch in book one, Birdie’s Biker
This is his and Truly’s story.
Roch was 22 when he was discharged from the military. He came home with PTSD, with experiences no one should ever go through, as a result he choose to live his life as a quiet one with little to few words.He unfortunately had to deliver a letter to the family of his best friend who didn’t make it home. There he met 8 year old Truly, an out going, mind speaking little girl, his best friends little girl. She took to Roch right away and never wanted to let go.
Over the years Truly’s rebellious streak got worse and Roch was always there to rescue her. Truly decides that she is done waiting for Roch to notice her, with Birdies help she is going to make him notice.
I liked this book, seeing the growth of relationship between Roch and Truly, seeing his struggles with what he deemed right and what he wanted and needed. Seeing how close they were how truly could just read him by looking at him. Didn’t love that another woman in their world was hurt but it’s the life. Here’s hoping for a third book where the woman doesn’t get abducted haha

Roch is a contradiction, he’s a rough, tough biker who rarely shows emotion...but he has a house full of rescue dogs that he spoils.
He has taken care of the wife and daughter of a war buddy who died and he will do anything for them(including adopting the dogs that no one else wants) Swoon!
He rarely speaks and is haunted by his tragic past. He is the ultimate damaged anti-hero.
Truly is the daughter of his war buddy who died. They have had an interesting connection and understanding of each other since she was young. She’s the only person he allows to show him affection. Sigh..
The way Roch identifies with his dogs who had previously been forced to fight and had been abused is heartbreaking and heart melting. There’s some intense scenes where Roch is struggling and hating himself that broke me.
I adore him so much! He’s a rare type of hero/anti-hero♥️

Holy hot! This book was so wild, there was way more going on then I ever dreamed of. The turns and problems and bombs dropped. Plus the amazing foreshadowing has me excited for the next book in the series!

I really enjoyed this story. I loved Truly I loved getting more insight on Roch/Will and absolutely loved the development of their relationship. It was really well written and even the sensitive topics were handled well.
