All of these characters needed therapy before the story began.

i will always read anything that larocca releases, and i think i’ve read all of his published work (except for one which is just, impossible to find anywhere???), and i think this might be my least favourite. every single part of it felt so shallow, so pointless, it’s actually incredible. i barely, if at all, felt any of the usual tension you get from books like these build up, and if there was ever any tension, it was resolved so quickly and “painlessly” that it felt unsatisfactory. the ending specifically felt very rushed and overly convenient.

overall i cannot say i would recommend reading this to anyone. look at their other works instead, i promise you you’ll have a better time there.

One of LaRocca's "happier" horror stories, it was decent but not as gory as some of his other works. I did enjoy and cheer on the characters and plot for this one :)
