I need to start my review with screaming a very long "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh" because I actually gasped multiple times out loud in the last 30% of the book. I can say things like "it has an interesting morally gray protagonist" and "the interpretation of unnaturals drew me in" and "the prose flows smoothly and is easy to read" and all of those things are TRUE but mostly I just need to scream in my head as I process everything and then run and pick up the next book. I think this has real "one of my favorite series" potential.

Looking through reviews, I’m noticing a common theme…& it’s one that echoes my exact sentiments: “I’m surprised by how much I enjoyed this/how good this was!” Honestly, I haven’t enjoyed a YA book this much in ages. It’s a (gruesome) story full of complex characters, & complex (& evolving) ethics & morality. It’s about escaping a traumatic upbringing & about the possibility of healing afterwards. Nothing is (forgive me) “cut & dry.”

This book was surprisingly gory and full of extremely morally grey characters. I loved Anita and her journey. I’m so glad I bought the whole trilogy from book outlet because I am immediately going to be picking up the sequel!!!

Tema penjualan organ di pasar gelap sudah pasti bikin ngeri2 kepo ya.. Biarpun dibalut dalam genre YA fantasy, adegan berdarah2 dan sedikit sadis harusnya bukan kejutan lagi ada di sisipan scenenya.

Yang aku suka selain tema n konflik cerita yang gak sejuta umat adalah gimana metamorfosis heroinenya Nita dari remaja biasa yang bercita2 jd dokter, sampai jadi remaja tahan banting yang terampil menggunakan scalpel disini. Bibit romance ada tipis2 tapi belum tahu bakalan berkembang ke arah mana.

Banter dan cara berceritanya masih bisa dipoles lagi biar enak, tapi so far tetep bisa bikin kepo utk diikutin. Buat kamu yang perutnya kuat n suka baca novel yang agak dark trus pilihannya karakternya cuma ada terpaksa jadi jahat, jahat dari lahir, jahat banget dan super jahat buku ini cocok buatmu hoho..
