Cheryl Strayed, what a woman. Her collection of advice columns really transcends the meaning of advice column and turns them into mini pieces of literary magic. Tiny explosions went off in my head when I read Cheryl’s advice. I wholeheartedly advice reading this if you want to expand your opinions on classic and more atypical conundrums. Cheryl is nothing if not human, compassionate and mostly people’s biggest supporter. Love!

The sweet truth from Sugar

This book has reached me so deeply that I just purchased it to keep so when I feel lost, I can no I am not alone. The advice may not be meant for me but the sentiment behind the words have touched me.

This is one of those collections where you can go back and read it at different times in your life and there will be something there waiting for you. There were parts that didn't resonate with me, but others that buried themselves deep within my soul. Not all of the advice was earth-shattering, in fact some of the advice are thoughts I have had myself, but strayed put it in such a way that it just hits a little differently. I would recommend this book to anyone, because there is something for everyone.

When I read Wild, I wanted Cheryl Strayed as a friend. Now, after reading tiny beautiful things, she is my friend. Her autobiographically infused advice as Sugar was more authentic than what I get from my friends out in the real world. Her painful honesty, and her clear-eyed, yet traumatized vision gave me a fresh perspective. Indeed, a good friend or a good book is the best kind of therapist. Cheryl embodies all of them. I am happy to be a new follower of the podcast, Dear Sugar. This good book has not ended but has transformed. I'll be listening.
