I wish I had experienced The Nutcracker as a book, film or even as a ballet earlier in my life.
I love the story, but I think there were some long sentences and a lot of interspersed sentences, which makes the text a bit hard to read at times. I think I would have had a very hard time getting through the book if I had read it as a child.

2.5 maybe. I just wanted to know the original original story. But the ballet is better.

I loved this book around christmas time!! this is my favorite Nutcracker ever!! I watch the movie about 3 or 4 times during the season!

Ich habe einige Nacherzählungen gelesen und mir ist das berühmte Ballet von Tschaikowski bekannt, aber bis jetzt kannte ich die "wahre" Geschichte des Nussknackers nicht. Ich fand die Geschichte als eine gute Unterhaltung und finde es passend zum Lesen oder Vorlesen an einem (Winter)nachmittag. Ich denke dass mir die Geschichte viel besser als Kind gefallen hätte.
