A very powerful memoir, both about the BLM movement and the woman who co-founded it. Raw and emotional, informative and uncomfortable, honest and hopeful. Focused on the Black experience with government and law enforcement, but delves into how that intersects with the experience of those with mental illness, those living in poverty, and the queer community.
This is a truly revelatory book that should be on everyone's TBR list.
