False Value

Ben Aaronovitch

3.98 AVERAGE

I am unsure why Aaronovich decided to change the format of his book by having jumps back and forward through time, other than for first chapter shock value
oh no Peter's not a policeman!!!!
but it was rather confusing and :(

But I enjoyed the many tender moments between Beverly and Peter, along with the characters introduced in this series (as a computer scientist the whole plot concept was great too)

ALTHOUGH at one point dice that had been called "percentile" dice were then called d20s but that's a minor nerdy complaint

Another great instalment, this time some undercover work in a software firm.

Relistening; real word, after two days!

Geezer reader is a well bad geezer.

Tyrel caught me close to rem so thought, oh I blade runner.

Must admit HHGTTG wore very thin early on.

Not opening the doors 2001?

Not as sad as people think I am, so not really a nudge nudge see the link merchant.

More of a merchant banker me!

There was another one, but alas in my dotage.

All the above and listening again, it is such fun.

KHS is very good and enhances the whole experience.

PS Slights to the Buffon's et al that have screwed and broken up the UK good to see included. Alas I fear the deluded cannot see anything wrong with a lardy chancer killing 65K citizens, poncing a month holiday in Caribbean and spunking 10M of a self aggrandising RAF plane. Complete arse in charge, hands across the pond between an idiot and an older idiot.

This one is pretty good. It's different, lots of HGttG references, and it makes the world feel bigger in a positive way.

3 1/2 stars. Audio book. This installment didn't capture or keep my interest as well as most of the books in series have. I enjoyed the developing background stories more than the main plot. It was ok, just not fabulous.

nice inclusion of a trans character but the cops in these books do too much work it’s not realistic
