Dawn of the Dead by George A. Romero, Susanna Sparrow, Simon Pegg

A novelisation in possibly the most rudimentary way possible. The book neither adds anything noteworthy nor does it detract or make any changes or deviations. Its very much like having someone sit and write down the movie as they're watching it, the slower parts of the movie are a bit of a slog to read and the faster paced action feels rushed through. Its not badly written and it does a reasonably decent job of conveying the characters and their situations but I do think it missed the opportunity to expand and elaborate.

Dispite all this I enjoyed it, however I think this is largely down to my close to obsessive fandom of Romero and specifically Dawn Of The Dead, and that the movie played out in my head while I was reading it. I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone that isn't already a fan of the movie, but for anyone that is, it's just one more way to watch your favourite zombie flick.
