no cause this book had me in a chokehold. i watched maxton hall and IMMEDIATELY raced to read this.

Did I pick up this ARC because I’d been intrigued by clips of the Prime series adaption of Maxton Hall on social media? Yep.
Did I think it was *amazingly* written? Not necessarily.
But did I get entirely swept into the angst of it all and stay up too late to finish reading it? You bet.
This book proves how sometimes (often?) the craft of storytelling is greater than the craft of the words themselves. It also captured the angst and pain and yearning and messiness of a tumultuous YA relationship quite well. I can’t imagine not watching the show and finishing the series now—especially with that ending.
