a nostalgic collection of poems that all taste like that bittersweet tang of coming of age. grapplings with new desire, and longing, and the awareness of getting older and your own brain -- all very real and very reminiscent of exactly what it felt like to be eighteen. ❤️

Love, love, love. I've always adored watching Savannah reading her poetry. I love how honest and fragile the words are that she writes. And I'm so glad that she decided to put them into a book, so I can find myself reading them over and over.

rough around the edges in the best way, especially after reading sav’s more recent work. not all for me, but some of it really brings me back to previous iterations of myself.

i don't really think i'm a poetry girl but some of the poems in here really stuck with me. i read this first when i bought it years ago and reread it now and the first poem "burgundy walls" is by far my favourite.

I liked this a lot. There are some beautiful whimsical thoughts expressed in a lovely way, and some deep stuff too. I'm not sure whether its because of the quality of the poem itself or the slam-style delivery, but for me this couldn't quite match up to the piece I love best (that encouraged me to buy this in the first place), 'I'm a Slut', but that's not really a criticism because that's an incredibly high bar.

I reread this recently and my heart always swells with every word and every line. Savannah has a way of pulling out her emotions and feelings and making art. I have such trouble doing that myself. But reading her work makes me feel less alone. I especially love listening to her read them in her videos. Her voice is so calming. Ugh the book's gorgeous. Read it

I've always loved poetry, but it's not often I feel a strong sense of connection to the poems themselves. A beautiful collection.
