Where’s our Queen of Venda? We need someone to handle politics actually well nowadays.

DID NOT FINISH

dnf 60%—I just don’t follow the political plot at all, and I’m too tired for all these names. No rating, but no interest either. I’m not sure I much like Pearson as an author. Oh well.

I wish it had all been a book about being chained together crossing a desert and had developed the characters slowly that way. That would have made a much more entertaining book imo. The pacing is too disjointed and I had a very hard time keeping up with the sudden whiplash scenes followed by a hundred pages of plodding nothing.

Disappoint.

I really enjoyed reading Dance of Thieves. Meeting Kazi, I felt her anger and the way she used it to right wrongs and survive. After being left alone to defend herself she becomes part of the premier guard, along with her two friends.

Meeting Jase Ballinger, the now ruler of his clan of outlaws, meets Kazi as she fulfills her mission.

When the fates decide to turn the tides against them, they’re thrust to trust each other in order to survive. It’s up to them to uncover a dark secret and decide what to do with it.

A great read, and I loved the world building. It was welled paced in the romance aspect.
