How did this manage to finish on a cliffhanger without it being a cliffhanger!!! I still need to know so much more!
But seriously though like the other this book was amazing. I love how Fallon has grown as a character so much since her naive needy self in the first book. Her fear feels real as she still questions things and is tricked and manipulated but it's something that could happen to anyone. She's strong and stubborn and fights back. And Lore well as protective as he is, I do wish he believed in Fallon a little more than he does.
I listened to this on audible and may or may not have been driving whilst bawling my eyes out at points so that's automatically 5 stars!
Olivia has done a great job of giving all the characters a unique personality that makes the story feel full and well thought out.
The plot was wild but fairly easy to follow. And like the other books the worldbuilding was well presented.

Confusing. Dragging on. Enjoyed the first two books but this one lost me.

My review is going to be all over the place and not in order at all lol. I was finally able to finish this book, and just like 1 and 2, I loved it. Although I do wish Dante would've died sooner. Hopefully, we can get Fallon and Lore's wedding in the next book since her mom isn't really herself right now. I personally love Fallon's inner monolog, and it didn't disappoint. This book definitely took me on a roller-coaster of emotions. Definitely made me laugh and surprisingly made me cry (Cian wanting to die so he could be with Bronwen). I definitely wish more happened before the book ended because there are just so many things going on. Hopefully, other things are cleared up and resolved in the next book, even though we won't be following Fallon and Lore. I'm still excited to see what happens next.

HEAVY SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW.

the first book had me OBSESSED, there was wonderful pacing and the world building/story development was immersive.

the second one was good but just a touch slow, had a lot of political exposition that didn’t make a ton of sense.

this third installment…after the initial capture, it is so slow and becomes confusing with the talk of “this person was this person’s parent but also this person’s spouse” and it all jumbled together. I was super disappointed in the end; Fallon goes into this quest with the promise of becoming queen, and ends it just fiancée to the king. she even talks about wanting to wait til her family is all together to do the coronation, and if the next book is about Cathal/Daya, and the one after is about Konstantin, where is the conclusion of “Find the crows, become queen”????

overall, I did like the premise and most of the story, good spice and romance (the pet names and “I’ll raze the world for you” is my weakness), but this ending just fell short. Finished this book with more questions than answers.

Why is Aggripina’s mind all wonky? Why did Ceres lie about literally everything Fallon’s whole life? Why didn’t Fallon turn crow the first time Lore used the summoning, since the spell to bind her magic was (seemingly) to keep her Shabbin blood magic bound? What actually was Catriona up to? Why were Antoni and Giana smuggling drugs?? (That whole plot line made like…no sense and was BARELY relevant, then Giana was arrested and then suddenly Eponine’s advisor??) How did Furia, an absolute beast of a horse, break a leg and have to be put down? He made it through her entire trek in the mountains perfectly fine, the author even put emphasis on how large and strong he was multiple times. I probably have more questions I could rant about but I need to shut up now
