The second book in the series, Shadow Spell, focuses primarily on Connor O'Dwyer and his story. Similar to the first, it was predictable, but enjoyable. I love the interactions between the characters, and they're easy to connect with, but overall it was lacking a little excitement. Moving on to the third and final book in the series now.

Here is my review of the first book of this series. It goes for this one as well. Let me add, that if you are looking for romance and details, NR has no talent in that department. Also, her female leads and their blurting out their feelings of sex, etc. is annoying. She writes these lines that people don't say usually, and not in a group usually, and then she goes into no detail. Very boring and poorly written.

Ok, here's the review of the first book. PS. I wish book 3 was out already, so I could get it out of the way. LOL

I am not a Nora Roberts fan, but this book was ok only because I love the setting and time travel, witches etc. But, her writing makes me feel as though I am reading a book written by a girl in High School. I could not get through the only other NR book I was given to me by a friend, and this book I could at least finish and I will finish the Trilogy, but I know the other books will leave the same taste in my mouth, but I want to know the story, even though I basically guess what's going to happen before it even does ;)

Good 2nd book in the trilogy, and I enjoyed the characters. I did feel like there was a little less depth in Connor than Roberts typically includes, but I still enjoyed him. I am very much looking forward to Book 3!

It was okay. Nice to read Connor and Mearas story but otherwise super slow. It was a struggle to keep my attention.

I enjoyed it, I'm sad I have to wait for the next. I really need to stop reading series until they are finished!

It was a light read but kept my attention.

Loved the 2nd book of this serious and have to wait until October for the third--before Halloween?? Looking forward to it. Ms. Roberts always has great trilogies and this one was great too.

The first book was good, but not enough to continue the series
