I gave this five stars because I was totally engaged in the story and did not want to put it down. A great addition to this genre, and a must-read for lovers of the Shadow Children series.

I figured out why I didn’t like this book. I believe it’s a middle/younger grade book and I enjoy some (ex halfway to harmony, wish…) but not this one. Not a bad book overall just not something I enjoyed!

This was really interesting and I enjoyed it, but it felt like all the interesting things happened right at the end and it felt rushed. It also seems based on the ending that the purpose of this book was just to set up the rest of the series. Based on what I can tell the kids are now going to travel through the different time periods that all the different children were from to try and fix the parts of time that were damaged. If that is the case I think this book could’ve been shorter as pretty much everything that happens in it is just a lead up for the other books.

I read these in middle school and decided to revisit because I really liked them at that time.

The first book mainly just sets the stage for the series, then book wraps up just as the real adventure begins!
