Did I read all three books in this trilogy in less than 72 hours? Yes. However, while I was very heavily invested in the plots, it surely is not the most well-written trilogy (sorry Jenny I love you). It was very hard to root for the characters at points, which was less a result of them being “complex” and more a result of them being annoying. I also was never fully rooting for Belly to end up with either of the Fisher boys, which is probably not a good sign for a love triangle romance series. There probably could have been more work done in the flashbacks and alternate perspective chapters to fix this problem, since those chapters really have a clearer image of outside characters.
That being said, I did really love the narrative structure of the series, as Jenny very seamlessly jumped between flashbacks and the present. I also think that the way the stories dealt with friendship and grief were very interesting. And, of course, I still loved the romance plot even when I couldn’t fully support it. I did be kicking and screaming reading this silly little trilogy.

Jenny Han does not disappoint with her books. This is the classic love triangle rom com you would see but there are many emotional additions as well. I was crying, laughing, and also angry at some scenes and this is exactly what Jenny would do to you. I will say though, the show adaption is not as good as the books because many things were changed and you didn't get to see as much tension.

It's been so long since I stopped reading this... But I think it's because the MC gave me too much 2nd hand embarrassement in one scene, that I litterally had stopped reading then and there.
