This is one of the weirdest books I have ever listened to?
I listened to the audiobook, read by Anna Burns herself. It was charming, clever and just a total joy.

This is probably quite good, as it reminded me of Fever Dream by Samanta Schweblin which the general consensus is that it's good,,,, but i really couldn't vibe with that and i really couldn't vibe with this :)

I really enjoyed bits of the story! The pacing was really off for me, felt like such a long read for less than 150 pages. Would’ve preferred a longer story with slower pacing.

That was a wild ride. I’m not even really sure what just happened. I think the writing style just wasn’t for me.
I liked the idea and the whole parody of a super hero story, but I just found the chaos so hard to follow. I also listened to it on audiobook and it kind of felt like the author was talking really slow and deliberate to ensure that she was enunciating her words so people could understand her accent. Even at 2x speed it didn’t really get any easier to listen to.
