A disappointing read.
Leigh Bardugo is a very excellent story teller and definitely one of my fave author. However it can’t be shown in this book and why is that so?
As much as I wanted to love this book because it is connected to the Grisha series and it is amazing to know the story of the Saints I just couldn’t.
While reading the book, I can’t help but feel dissatisfied with almost every collection as they felt too short and if not lack of depth that I just couldn’t connect to most of them. I believed the book is a little bit too short and could have been longer to add more depth and despite having a fairytale touch/reference to some of the stories that I think is wonderful and should excite me, it kind of didn’t. Most of the collection ended up becoming a dragged and forgettable to me.
Still, I liked the cover. Nothing too much but still looking elegant. But the art illustrations, wasn’t fun to most of it.
Overall, it was enough and yes, a disappointing read.

Fun accompaniment to the Grishaverse, but not super necessary.

Great short stories about the saints! Quick and enjoyable audiobook. Definitely gave me more insight into the Grishaverse.
