3.5*

A great instalment in the Bitch Planet series! I again liked the resistance of the "non compliant" women, and also enjoyed the added content at the end of each issue. I was surprised at the end, so am eagerly awaiting the next collection!

Absolutely wonderful in every way. The advertisements were hilarious, the story was horrible in the best dystopian way, and women, women, women. Angry and fierce. I want more.

If it's been a while since you read the first volume of Bitch Planet, you might want a refresher on who everyone is before delving in to the (now deceased) Meiko Maki's backstory. From her story, we jump to the present day, when he father has come to Bitch Planet to visit a daughter whose death everyone tries to hide. When he makes a prison uprising possible, we discover a hidden new character who might have some answers about how this planet came to be.

Mostly a gateway story, with less emphasis on the women and more on the search for the truth about how this world got to be how it is. I'm intrigued by President Bitch, and eager to see where the story goes from here.

Also, I called the trans wing of the prison in my last review. I called it, I called it, nyah.

I love this series and I love its heart. Sometimes the plot seems hard to follow and I’m not entirely sure what’s going on, but can pick up enough context clues to work it out. Just wish it was a little clearer

The little bits at the back about societies attitudes to women are brilliant.

I’m getting slightly confused as to what is going on, it reminds me a bit of Robert K. Vaughan’s writing style, not having a clue what’s going on but enough of a clue to keep you intrigued and entertained. Enjoying this series so far, the very last scene has got me excited for what is next.
