Umm... I really don't know what to say about this series anymore lol. It's just so out there but I kind of love what the authors are doing - playing with how women are viewed in society. Like yes, it's highly exaggerated and almost a parody of itself. But at the same time, it touches on very sensitive issues and many that still plague women today.
In the beginning of this installment we actually go back in time to see the beginnings of one of the characters and let me tell you, their story is just heartbreaking. It's very reminiscent of The Handmaid's Tale with women who don't conform to the idea of perfection are sent away to be punished or reset.
This is a very strong feminist powered series so it's definitely not for everyone. But it is worth a look.

I love how the story gets deeper. Mr. Maki, Facility One, Kam and her sister, and the Eleanorians--I'm rooting for them all. The Fathers and the Protectorate are super creepy and the ads at the end of every issue are amazing pieces of satirical art in and if themselves. Read this series!

I wish there was another volume. It ended so abruptly and I really wanted to see a more final outcome or victory. Volume 2 is at least as good as volume 1, perhaps better.
If you appreciated vol. 1, definitely check this one out. It's fierce and brilliant storytelling.
Continues to be one of the most relevant comics currently. Just wish it was published more consistently.
I can't wait to read the next installment. Nice cliffhanger of an ending.
What a cutting, I-wish-it-wasn’t-timely, rage bomb of a book.

A follow up arc better than the first, I was stunned to read the end of this and find out there is no direct follow up yet. I feel I need to know what’s next, but have no hopes to find out soon.
