Jasper is the first book in the New York Players series by Lulu Moore, featuring a fun strangers to lovers romance for Jasper and Wolfie. He’s an NHL captain ready to find a partner, and she’s a British career woman needing a fresh start after a bad break-up. Crashing into each other changed the trajectory of both of their lives. Can two people from different countries really find a lasting connection in such a short period?

Jasper and Wolfie were had a great meet cute, funny banter, and their slow burn chemistry kept me on the edge of my seat! Jasper definitely gave me golden retriever vibes when it came to her, and she was feisty and fragile at the same time. The friendships are top notch in this book, which lays the foundation for a great series! I previously read Huck (Book 5), so it was fun to go back to the beginning. I listened to the audio version narrated by Alyssa Avery & Bradley Ford, who did a great job bringing the different characters to life! They were able to convey the comedy, the chemistry, and the underlying emotions in an entertaining way. I look forward to catching up on the rest of the series!

I received an ALC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jasper is something else. Handsome, massive and obsesses by a woman he bumps into one morning.

He is all out to get his girl and him and all his team mates waiting outside for her made my heart sing. Wolfie makes him work for her heart as she is annoyed and angry at him in the beginning.

Listened on audio.
The performance was done well. Fmc had a British accent.

This was very insta love. Jasper sees Wolfie and immediately knows he has to have her. Wolfie took too long to come around to Jasper in my opinion. 4 months of gifts dates and hanging out. Then a break up at 95 %.

He. Fell. First. I started off reading Lulu Moore’s books in the wrong order with “The Tuesday Club” series first and “The New York Lions” series second, but I’m glad to finally get to the stories of the side characters I love so much. So much of Jasper & Wolfie’s story made me “awww” out loud, and the Halloween scene? 🥵 I definitely want more of them!
