This was good! I liked this! And 0 I'm 0t mad even though I said I would be. ( I also said I wasn't going to read anymore of Colleens books but here I am three books later...)<br><br>" 'We’re all full of flaws. Hundreds of them. They’re like tiny holes all over our skin. And like your fortune said, sometimes we shine too much light on our own flaws. But there are some people who try to ig0re their own flaws by shining light on other people’s to the point that the other person’s flaws become their only focus. They pick at them, little by little, until they rip wide open and that’s all we become to them. One giant, gaping flaw.' "

TW: infertility & infant lose
Devastating look into the effects that infertility has on couples marriage and their individual mental and physical health. Yet rest assured this dark piece ends on a sweet and hopeful note leaving the reader feeling a little more appreciative of their partner (if applicable).

I think the only reason this book didn’t make me cry is the fact that I’m already overwhelmed with all the other emotions the story made me feel. I had to consciously give myself a breather AFTER. EVERY. CHAPTER. (especially in the last third of the book).

It was ok, I enjoyed the story but it just wasn't for me, I did however love the dogs name and how that came to be.

This is probably the biggest emotional rollercoaster ride of Colleen’s ever, in my opinion. It is so incredibly hard to read a lot of the time. The timeline is then and now and we know from the book synopsis that there is something in their marriage that is challenging them now. We find out that they struggle with infertility and it causes Quinn to forget why she loves Graham so much and it’s so hard to see her battle that. Colleen did a great job of making that more palatable by showing us snippets of just how strong their relationship began. Reading the THEN gave us hope that their current struggles would just be a storm they’d have to weather. This book really and truly made me realize how hard it must be to struggle with infertility. And even though I’ve always had compassion for couples who do struggle, it’s much much deeper now. For that reason, I wish I could give half stars and give this one a 4.5 instead of a 4. I definitely kept the tissues handy for the last couple of chapters for this one.
