I was in a reading slump due to Hunting Adeline, but dang did this book grab me right out of that. I loved it from start to finish, currently running to the second book because I can’t live with how it ended.

first half of the book was 5 stars and the book is worth reading just bc of the first half; I liked the authors prose but the protagonists were very passive

also the fantasy aspect of this was pointless
