This book felt like a perfect complement to Legends and Lattes!

The relationships the author writes about are so tender and sweet.
Viv is also a lovely character. She is so kind to those around her, and although she is incredibly strong and seen as a threat by most, she keeps a lot of feminine traits in her personality.

Had fun, but I don’t think I liked it quite as much as legends and lattes. It felt like it was dragging a bit in the middle and I kind of had to push myself through a fairly long section. It did pick up again and I enjoyed the resolution! Take my review with a grain of salt because it’s not my usual/favorite genre.

I would read anything Baldree wants to write. (*HintHint* More please!) There is something so pure and perfect about his stories. Initially, I was put off by this being a prequel to Legends and Lattes. Even though I knew the original story had ended exactly as it should and needed no additional content. What book could live up to that hype? But Baldree did it again, giving us a cast of characters to fall in love with, and a version of Viv that we hadn't seen before.
