This was a fun little read, and it’s restored my faith YAs a bit more.
The world building was a bit confusing, but I enjoyed the themes and the world itself, with the different realms and powers, and the aspect of this being a centennial trial.
Everyone comments on the love triangle in this book, but I feel like that’s not really a main theme until at like 90%, so it’s odd to comment on in this book.
I know which team I’m on, so I guess we’ll see what happens in books 2 & 3

I’m sure it’s bound to change with the next few books in one way or another. But I just feel confused with the ending. I mean why does she love Oro?? He really has no personality and they do not connect on that level. Anyways I still loved the book

OKAY! So I’ll admit I avoided this book for some time because of the reviews I had seen initially but honestly I thought it was incredible. It pulled me out of a reading slump I had been dealing with for quite a bit and I honestly couldn’t wait to read the second one! Which just happened to be out already! Such luck!

But truly was such a fun plot twisty, hunger games nostalgia like story! Highly recommend.
