This book is incredibly well written. I cannot believe I am so late to the party. Some of the sentences constructed actually took my breath away. You'll see what I mean when you get to the highway with Alarm and Excitement. Phenomenal book!

Hace años vi la película terrible por cierto, pero Mickey Rourke super Hot, probemos el libro ahora me dije.
Conclusión no es erótico, ni Hot ni vulgar en su escritura, solo es él testimonio de la autora, donde cuenta SU historia, mujer profesionista en el NY de los 70 s, auto suficiente que se ve envuelta en una relación donde sus "hábitos" cambian todos los días des pues de las 5:00 pm, y tú como lector con tu bagaje le pones la calificación si es Hot, repulsivo, machista etc.
(Ahora yo con mi Bagaje, se me hizo que el tipo era bastante repulsivo, manipulador, y mas que erótico me generaba tensión y hasta terror, solo podía pensar en lo sádico del sujeto este)

This book was described as a romance which it most definitely was not. This book was about an abusive relationship.

In the foreword, it was mentioned that this book would be objective and it wouldn’t show much of the peoples’ lives outside of their relationship so even though I didn’t like it, I can’t complain about that as it was said at the beginning.

The thing was that not only was this book not a romance, the things that happened between them were all vague and it didn’t really show how their relationship progressed and changed to being abusive.

This book was definitely not for me and while some people may like it, I didn’t like it and thought that it was boring.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. After the election, I needed a serious change of pace and this book gave me that. I really loved watching the dom/sub dynamics between the two characters play out. I then tried to watch the movie and it was terrible! The movie totally butchered the nuances of the dom/sub relationship and turned it into something much darker. Book was great, movie was just plain bad.
