The tips here for how to be compassionate while not letting other people's energies take down your own are good. I like the meditations, visualizations, and tips for how to keep stress lower. But I honestly think many of these tips are good for everyone, not just "highly sensitive people." The book can also be a little dichotomous (ie presenting the idea that a highly sensitive person is generally kinder than average because of being more sensitive) when the reality is of course much grayer than that. Anyone can be kind or unkind. Indeed, I think the book could have benefited from some examples of how when you don't manage your sensitive nature well it can lead to you lashing out inappropriately and hurting others. Greater balance would have helped this book immensely.

I also just want to note there are some really cringe moments of comments about "Native American culture." Indigenous peoples are not a monolith. If she meant a particular nation's tradition, it should have been said that way.
